Provide necessities to families in a hospital
Project Description
When a child is seriously sick or injured, they can spend a significant amount of time in hospital. To help brighten their day, the Hospitality Carts circulate through the Hospital Wards, providing ill children and their families with complimentary essentials and bedside support. These items include body boosters such as snacks, beverages, toiletries and comfort items, as well as boredom busters including toys, puzzles and activity books. Your support will help provide these necessities to the families staying in the hospital at their time of need, to help make their time more comfortable.
More About This Project
The Hospitality Cart is essential in providing some comfort and relief to critically ill children and their families in the hospital. The Hospitality Carts are run by friendly and supportive volunteers, who provide moments of joy and distraction from the clinical ward they are on. The Hospitality Cart delivers essential items conveniently to families, allowing them to stay with their child during their time of need and not leave their side.
HOW CAN I HELP?
When a client accepts a proposal over the value of $350, we sponsor 1 essential item for families in a hospital with Ronald McDonald House

Project Description
Enable a woman business owner to successfully operate her business by providing a half day course to learn bookkeeping skills. This program aims to impart women who are establishing their own business with relevant financial literacy skills to record transactions, enabling them to support their families and contribute to their livelihood. Your contribution is crucial in ensuring the sustainability and continuity of this project to make positive impacts in the lives of women.
More About This Project
All courses and training are conducted in the recipient's village in the operating area of Mulanje, southeastern Malawi. About 8,000 women have benefitted from this project. To determine who should received the training, either a village Headman or Chief is approached, or MLF would respond to a request, and meet them to explain our processes. This is communicated to women in the village and if they are interested then MLF makes a presentation explaining what is involved. The group of women will then meet and make their own decision. If they wish to proceed, the women of the village will nominate a group of 16 women to benefit from loans.
